Newsflash! We are excited to report that the Baltimore Hostel is open for individuals and groups effective July 1! Congratulations to all the volunteers for the many hours of tireless efforts that led to this milestone! To make reservations, please contact our Baltimore Hostel Manager at info@baltimorehostel.org.

Welcome. The historic building at 17 West Mulberry Street in Baltimore is accepting guests from July 1, 2007 following extensive renovations. Friends of Baltimore Hostel, a volunteer group, is always looking for new people to join our efforts in whatever way they can, however large or small, long-term or temporary.

Please take a moment to join our e-mail group list (below), where you can join in group discussions and receive updates and alerts about upcoming meetings, work parties, and other events.

The Friends of Baltimore Hostel group meets every second Thursday at 7:30pm at the Hostel to discuss the renovation, operations, marketing, fundraising and events. All are welcome!

Saturday, October 27, 12 Noon. Free. Annual Meeting of Potomac Area Council of Hostelling - International. All welcome! Arrive at noon to meet others in this non-profit organization over potluck buffet lunch. The business portion of the meeting starts at 1 p.m. All hostelling members and visitors welcome

Thursday, November 1, 7 p.m. Free. Australian Adventures with Kristin Smith

Sunday, November 11, 3 p.m - 5 p.m. Free. Celebrate the re-opening of the Baltimore Hostel at a reception hosted by Friends of Baltimore Hostel. Please RSVP to events.

First Thursdays: Open House! Free events on the first Thursday evening of each month - most include tours, refreshments, and live music.
